Worked with a marketing strategist to define the information architecture and visual direction for God's Vision for Haiti, a nonprofit organization serving vulnerable children and communities through foster care, education, health, and spiritual support.
I developed a fully custom WordPress theme from the ground up, prioritizing simplicity, performance, and ease of content management. The client's primary requirement was flexibility — allowing non-technical users to update content seamlessly without being constrained by the underlying technology.
The main challenge was balancing a tailored, custom front-end experience with a maintainable and intuitive WordPress backend. This was achieved by minimizing reliance on heavy plugins and designing reusable, editor-friendly components.
The final result is a lightweight, purpose-driven website that supports the organization's mission while empowering the client to manage and evolve their content independently.
