About this project

Jwèt Kreyòl is a personal side project inspired by my upbringing in Haiti and my deep connection to the Haitian Creole language. The goal of the project is to make language learning and exploration enjoyable through a growing collection of games designed for Haitian Creole speakers and learners.

The app is built with Angular and delivered as both a web application and an Android app on the Google Play Store. The Android version reuses the Angular build via Trusted Web Activity (TWA), allowing for efficient cross-platform distribution while maintaining a single codebase. This project also served as an experiment in modern web-to-mobile deployment strategies.

Users can play games online or offline, either anonymously or by signing in with Google or Facebook to track scores and progress. While the games are presented in Haitian Creole, the app supports English and French for navigation, settings, rules, and other instructional content, making it accessible to a broader audience.

As a work in progress, the platform is designed to scale with additional games and features over time. This project combines cultural passion with technical experimentation, resulting in a flexible, user-friendly experience that promotes engagement with the Haitian Creole language across devices.
